Bookmark it. Write it down. Because Refinery 29's list of spring 2010's hottest nail colors will define you this spring/summer. I'm still working on my checklist, but here's what I have so far:
A beautiful sea foam called "Minted" by Revlon.
The exact one from the sacred list - Mouse, by American Apparel nail lacquers. The colors are so great, and the prices are just as good. Maybe I'm alone on this, but I just can't bring myself to spend more than $20 on nail polish. Not okay.
Perfect shimmery gold by Butter, nicely named "The Full Monty."
Also, I'd like to personally add a couple of colors to this list: plain white and hot pink. White is so perfect for summer and looks great with pretty much anything. Also, a nice hot pink never goes out of style and makes you smile every time you look down. A nice hot pink is Boom Boom by Sinful Colors, and it's just $1.99 in any drugstore.
While we're on the subject of nail polish, there is some advice that I need to give: be wary of buying polish without putting it on your nails first, especially with drugstore brands. You may have clown nails for a little while, but try on a bunch of different colors and brands before you pick one. I've come out of the drugstore many a time with a too pale/too shiny/too thick enamel and then, well, I'm outta luck.
